Imphal, September 06, 2005: About seven village chiefs under Churachandpur district bordering Mizoram have urged Chief Minister O Ibobi to address their woes due to UG harassments. In a memorandum, the village chiefs of Henglep, Thanlon and Parbung urged the Chief Minister to protect the villagers.
Village chiefs from Loibal village, Mualpheng, Bukpi, Moljen, Tipaimukh Area Development front, Chiengkonpang and Committee on Public Interest and Grievances said in the memorandum that the people in these villages had been denied security although underground activities have immensely disturbed them.
