CCpur sub-divisional offices to revert back to old locations

Lamka, February 3, 2006: The sub-divisional offices, block development offices and other offices of different departments of Churchandpur district at Thanlon and Parbung which are now functioning at Churachandpur district head quarters will start functioning from next Monday at their previous locations.

A decision to shift all the temporary offices of Thanlon and Parbung now at Churachanpur town was taken in a meeting held today at the office chamber of the deputy commissioner, Churachanpur AK Sinha, IAS. The meeting was convened by the DC to discuss the agenda of restoring administration at Thanlon and Parbung. The meeting started from around 2.30 pm.

The meeting was attended by the chief medical officer, district officer, horticulture, CDPO`s, ZEO, DFO, EE`s apart from army officers colonel Ralli and major Rathor.

During the meeting, it was stated by representatives from the army that the Army have started intruding into interior areas of Thanlon, Parbung and Henglep following instruction from the state chief secretary, Jarnail Singh.

Offices of various departments have been constructed and are due to be completed soon, the meeting observed and resolved to start occupation in partial as the present status of work progress shows possibility of shifting the offices partially.

Moreover, police officers with some constables and with no arms will be posted at each sub-divisional headquarter soon, the SP reportedly put down during the discussion.

On the other hand, in the wake of four Tribal Students` organisations calling for a shut down of all government offices since January 31, the DC, Churachanpur has ordered all government employees to attend offices regularly. The order issued under No.DC (Cep)/Estt/98-13 said absentees will be treated as “dies none”

It further said, all DLO`s/Controlling officers should submit the attendance of their respective employees/staff at 3.05 pm everyday.

Counter signatures of the pay bills of district level officers` will be withheld for those employees who fail to report the attendance of the staff of the respective offices.

Meanwhile, today Chinzasuan SDC has been instructed to check attendance register of all government officers. He will do the checking along with the civil police.
