Imphal, February 24, 2006: In accordance to an instruction from Chief Minister O Ibobi, a team comprising of Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Dr Charltonlein Amo, Chairman of PDA K Ranjit, MLA Vivek Raj and Commissioner Relief, Dr Suhail Aktar has left for Mizoram today to provide relief material to villagers who fled from Tipaimukh area and are currently taking shelter at Sakawrdai in Mizoram.

The team will meet the Hmar refugees numbering about 500 at Sakawrdai and hand over the relief materials including Rs 2 lakhs in cash.

The team would also meet the CM and Chief Secy of Mizoram and talk about reimbursement of the money spent by the Mizoram Govt on the Manipuri refugees.

A public meeting at Parbung would wind up the sojourn of the high level team before returning to Imphal on March 1.
