Imphal, July 13, 2006: The inquiry committee headed by Justice Rajkhowa probing the allegation of mass rape of women by some cadres of two underground groups in Lungthulian and Parbung in Churachandpur district earlier this year to conduct another cross examination of the victims at Parbung.
The commission has passed an order in this regard today and asked the state home department to make arrangements for issuing two helicopters to the commission on July 21 and 26.
Cross examination of victims will be held between July 21 and 26, 2006, the order issued by commission said.
The commission had no hearing today as SDO Parbung, who was supposed to be present at the commission’s current venue at Hotel Imphal, Imphal, could not arrive in the state capital due to bandh in Bishnupur district.
