Lamka, September 15, 2006: The restriction imposed by the Hmar National Army on plying of passenger buses from Kangvai to Churachandpur has been lifted temporary in the interest of the general public.
Passenger bus services between Kangvai and Churachandpur remain paralysed for the past 10 days due to the restriction imposed by the HNA.
The HNA has been demanding relief and rehabilitation package for the victims of landmine blasts in Churachandpur, rape victims of Lungthulien and Parbung and relief and rehabilitation package for villagers who had fled to Mizoram but returned to the state recently.
A HNA statement issued in this regard has warned of more intense action if Manipur government fails to fulfill all the demands within 45 days.
The statement also warned that failure on part of the government to fulfill the demands could compel HNA activists to retaliate the same act as done by the cadres of UNLF and KCP upon the Hmar women.
