Imphal, January 22, 2007: A civilian sustained severe injuries in a mine blast on January 17 at Changpol village, 60 kms South of Chandel police station along Indo-Myanmar border. The injured victim is identified as Holkhulim Kuki (30) of Changpol village.
It is reported that the unfortunate incident took place when the victim stepped on the mine unknowingly. The victim was injured in the right shoulder, abdomen and buttock. He was admitted to RIMS today.
