Imphal, March 16, 2007: Reacting to the report filed by some individuals claiming to be representing Kukis of Moreh that UNLF cadres in collaboration with the Myanmarese army harassed about 400 villagers taking shelter at Laijang village before they were forcibly led to Myanmar, the outfit remarked that the false malicious propaganda and the subsequent indefinite bandh called in Moreh were all perpetrated at the instigation of the Intelligence wing of security forces. Imphal, March 13, 2007: Contending that about 400 villagers living in the border areas of Chandel district have fled their homesteads to escape the harassments meted out to them by militant groups operating (Valley based UGs), the Hill Tribal Council, Moreh, KSO, Moreh block and Kuki Women Union and Human Rights, Moreh today said that villagers including women and children took shelter at S Laijang village.
