Imphal, March 10, 2007: Terming the incidents of gun fight between security forces and UNLF cadres at Aishi village, Ukhrul district on March 3 as very unfortunate, the Kuki Students’ Organisation, Ukhrul district has appealed to all concerned not to undertake such gun fights in the vicinity of civilian populated areas. Imphal, March 9, 2007: Tipaimukh and the surrounding areas are facing acute shortage of rice due to the alleged failure of lifting of rice from the FCS godown at Imphal. Imphal, March 08, 2007: AR Troops of 1st Assam Rifles gunned down two UNLF cadres in Aishi of Ukhrul district on March 3, said a release of PRO IGAR (S). The PRO added that based on inputs of UNLF activities in Aishi-Molvailup area especially after the ambush of CRPF on Feb 9 AR had launched operations to hunt them down. More »
